About this website
This website was created by me — Fiona Broome — many years ago. It was supposed to be a website explaining ghosts to children, in terms that might calm them after seeing commercials for scary movies and TV shows.
I still believe that’s important, so I’ve moved the old articles to a related site, Ghosts 101 – for Children.
Now, I’m using this site (Ghosts101.com) for a different purpose.
Years ago, I created HollowHill.com to explain how to get started as a ghost hunter and how to develop your skills.
There, I’ve always been adamant about not spending a cent on this hobby until you’re sure you want to pursue it.
Really, a lot of people get involved with ghost hunting because it can look cool on the TV. Then, they discover that it’s not how it looks once the TV producers have edited the show to make it an exciting 30 or 60 minutes.
While I don’t want to shift the emphasis at HollowHill.com, it’s time for me to help people who are committed to this research. Some of them do need good tools to work with, additional research resources, and so on.
So, this website will be about ghost hunting equipment, how-to books, online videos, ghost tours worth taking, who puts on great ghost-related events, etc.
Some of my recommendations will be free. Most probably won’t.
Remember: I still suggest not spending a cent on ghost hunting until you’re sure it’s something you really enjoy and plan to continue.
Most of my advice will be my own opinions, period and full stop. Others may disagree, and that’s fine… no two people (even the best of friends) will share all the same attitudes, beliefs and preferences about anything, especially ghost hunting.
Covering a couple of legal bases: My information is anecdotal and intended for entertainment purposes only. I can accept no liability for how you use (or don’t use) this information. Your experiences may be different than mine. If you heartily agree or disagree with me, please let me know by leaving a (polite) comment.
This website is supported by my reviews. That is, I may earn a commission if you purchase something through one of my links.
However, if you know me in real life — or you’ve spent much time at HollowHill.com — you know that I have no interest in selling my soul and my reviews are entirely honest. The possibility of making money from this… well, that has no influence one way or the other. Either I like a product (or tour or site) or I don’t, and I’ll tell you that, flat out.
